90 Day Challenge – Gratitude Attitude
- Categories: Uncategorized
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. – John F. Kennedy
Last night I had the pleasure of reading Catherine Colvard’s 90 Day Challenge post on 10.02.09 Catherine explained how she’s been feeling very challenged lately and realized that her habit of writing down the many things she’s grateful for had slipped away, she was out of the habit. A few nights ago Catherine decided to get back into the routine of writing her lists because she realizes this helps her to be in the present.
Anxiousness is Fear of the Future… this kind of fear does not benefit us, but instead keeps us stuck and contributes to us failing.
Effective leaders will look for the positive and show gratitude and appreciation for it. A gratitude journal is a way to consciously call attention to the things for which we are thankful each day. By focusing on gratitude, we become aware of those things and thus create a shift in our thinking to the positive, to expand. I’ve been journaling now for over 2 years and write in mine before going to bed almost every night…I truly sleep better when I do!
I’m curious how many of you have a gratitude journal or create lists like Catherine’s? Let’s see how many of us do, and please share how it’s benefited you in your life…just reply here to this post.
In gratitude,
L.
